Maxtech International has recently updated their Series on Nondestructive
Testing Markets, further information is available from their website at

to ponder as we close out the work week:

     * The United States market for NDT equipment reached $510 million last
year, estimated to grow to $632 million by 2006 (compound annual growth rate
of more than 4%).

     * Highest growth rates are expected in electronics-based NDT equipment:
ultrasonics, eddy current, and digital radiography.

     * Other NDT methods (magnetic particle, liquid particle, film
radiography) aren't growing as fast due to environmental issues and
competition from alternative methods.

     * Generally, NDT equipment supplied for manufacturing process control
applications is increasing more rapidly than for traditional flaw detection.
