Title: T/S EMPIRE STATE PROPULSION BOILERS INSPECTION, CLEANING AND REPAIR
Description: SOL: DTMA2B03001 The purpose of the work is to accomplish the
following: thoroughly clean and inspect the waterside and fireside of
boilers; repair leak in port boiler downcomer; locate and by-pass leaking
tube section of port boiler economizer; replace boiler main steam stops and
generator stop valves with government furnished valves; replace
approximately 20 small valves with contractor furnished valves; repair hand
hole plates and seating surfaces; repair boiler casings; repair and replace
selected boiler refractory; locate and repair known tube leaks; NTD
examination of boiler floor tubes; conduct five-year boiler material
condition assessment and evaluation; conduct all tests and inspections of
boilers, mountings and steam piping as required by USCG in 46CFR61.05 -1
through -20 and 46 CR 61.15-1 through-15.
