Hello All,

As part of a multi-year R&D project, Monition Ltd. of the U.K. is
conducting a demonstration of the project in July and would like to
extend an invitation for interested parties to attend. Their
announcement follows.

***
Monition Ltd is a Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Management
organisation, providing services across many industries in the UK &
contributing R&D expertise to projects throughout Europe.

Monition has been involved in a European R&D project for the last 3
years, working as a member of a project consortium of 9 commercial
companies & research institutions to pioneer a prototype NDT, online
quality inspection system for cast metallic, light-alloy parts
manufactured for the aviation and automotive industries.

Utilising a combination of X-ray imaging, attenuation measurement and
multi-sensor vibration analysis, the prototype QUME Intelligent
Manufacturing System harnesses an innovative data fusion system to
evaluate inspection data, characterise casting faults, and report
information to the upstream production process to eliminate the
occurance of production faults within casting batches.

The project concludes in a few weeks time, and the project consortium
would like to extend an invitation to appropriate organisations to
attend a demonstration event, hosted at the production facilities of
Italian metalcasting company, Stampal SpA, in Turin, on Friday July 2nd,
2004.

Technical presentations and a demonstration of the QUME project
technology will offer opportunities to discuss the work of the project
consortium, debate further development of the prototype technologies and
to consider the industrial applications and feasibility of the QUME system.

Please visit the project website at: www.qumeproject.com - which
contains further information and includes a short registration form
should yourself, or others, be interested in attending the demo event in
Turin on the 2nd of July.

Regards,
Chris
