Hello All,
Two inquiries today.
1. RFI-Soil Density Measurements
We have an inquiry into finding a method of nondestructively determining
the density of a layer of soil. In this particular case, the soil is
3-5' in depth, and the method should be able to measure the density
through the surface of a layer of asphalt, through the base, and finally
through a stabilized sub-grade.
2. Facility Identification-Large Scale Liquid Penetrant Inspections
NASA needs to identify facilities and service providers that can handle
penetrant testing of large parts. In particular, of aluminum truss-like
members which may be up to 17 feet long. The service provider should
already have (or stand an excellent chance of attaining) a NASA special
level penetrant certification.
If anyone has any insight to either/both inquiries, please feel free to
drop us a line.
Regards,
Chris
