Hello All,

We have an inquirer with an immediate opening in Texas for a Level II or 
III (preferred) magnetic particle inspector.  A brief job description 
follows; please feel free to forward along to anyone that might be 
interested.

Summary:  Conducts nondestructive magnetic particle inspections of 
forgings by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other 
duties may be assigned. 

* Inspects machines and equipment before use to ensure operability and 
safe working conditions.
* Uses appropriate personal protective equipment and safe practices to 
perform work.
* Follows work instructions and the instructions of the Post Forge 
Operations Manager to insure that the testing procedures are being 
properly implemented and that defects are clearly marked. 
* Performs magnetic particle inspections of in-process forge samples 
expeditiously and ensures that the quality assurance inspector is 
informed immediately of the results.
* As required, divides forge lots into sub-lots for further inspection 
and processing and maintains traceability according to applicable work 
instructions.
* Maintains magnetic particle inspection certification status and is 
retested periodically to re-verify certification to a Level I, II, or 
III status, as appropriate.
* When required, performs grinding and hardness testing of forged 
products as per work instructions and conducts dimensional inspections 
of broached products at a time interval specified per work instructions.
* When required, enters data into the computer for SPC analysis and 
generates reports. 
* Clearly communicates problems and issues to the Post Forge Operations 
Supervisor or others in order to obtain clarification or make suggested 
improvements to the equipment or process.
* Coordinates subcontracted heat treating and plating with shipping 
personnel, when required.
* Cleans equipment and maintains a clean work area.
